Santa Maria Rossa is a fraction of the municipality of Perugia.
The town is located on the border with San Martino in Campo, of which it is the extension towards the south-east, towards the territory of Deruta and San Nicolò di Celle. It develops mainly along the provincial road 375 (which leads up to Marsciano), constituting its northern end. The territory is strictly flat (175 m s.l.m.), lying along the valley crossed by the Tiber river.
The main monument of the town is the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta with the adjoining building, of apparent sixteenth-century appearance, built in red brick.
